Treatment focus

Coronary heart disease is one of the most common heart diseases worldwide. In this case, the coronary vessels are narrowed due to calcium deposits in the vessel walls. As a result, blood flow is disturbed and thus the oxygen supply to the heart muscle is affected. If left untreated, this can lead to cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac muscle weakness and sudden cardiac death.

Heart failure is the inability of the heart to pump sufficient blood to the circulatory system. It often develops as a consequence of other diseases, such as high blood pressure or after a heart attack. The typical symptoms are shortness of breath, water retention in the body, and limited exercise tolerance.
For successful treatment, it is necessary to make the diagnosis early and correctly.
Nowadays, the medical treatment of heart failure is complex and depends on other underlying diseases.

In addition to medication, a special pacemaker or defibrillator may also be considered for some patients in advanced stages.

A heartbeat is generated by regular electrical impulses in the right atrium of the heart. Depending on the load, the heart beats faster or slower in order to pump sufficient blood through the body. When the rhythm of the heartbeat is disturbed, it is called a cardiac arrhythmia. They can be perceived as heart stumbles, palpitations or heart palpitations.
They often occur as a result of pre-existing conditions such as valvular heart disease, heart failure, heart muscle inflammation or after a heart attack. Certain medications can also trigger cardiac arrhythmias.

With increasing age, but also at a young age, serious changes can occur in the heart valves. A heart ultrasound (echocardiography) represents the central diagnostic measure for the assessment of valvular heart disease.
The decision for a certain treatment depends on many factors: Age and other diseases of the patient, cause and severity of the valvular heart disease. We will be happy to provide you with detailed advice based on our expertise.

High blood pressure (arterial hypertension) is one of the biggest risk factors for cardiovascular disease. In many cases, it goes unnoticed for a long time, putting strain on the blood vessels for years. This increases the risk of serious secondary diseases such as heart attacks, strokes or kidney damage. Therefore, early detection and treatment is enormously important.
We will advise you in detail about all the options for changing your lifestyle (non-medication treatment), as well as planning long-term medication therapy if necessary. Often, optimal blood pressure control can only be achieved through a combination of different medications, whereby the interaction and compatibility with other medications and diseases must be ensured.

Increasing professional demands, an increasing working life as well as high everyday stress have a great influence on your personal health risks.

Civilization diseases that are actually avoidable, such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and other metabolic diseases, can be detected and prevented through regular preventive checkups. Act now and maintain your quality of life in the long term.

There is often more than one treatment option for a disease. However, the advantages and disadvantages must be weighed carefully and individually. A second medical opinion is helpful here.
We conduct an independent and neutral second opinion of your medical findings. We then clarify in detail all your open questions and concerns.

Excerpt of the technical services

An ECG records the electrical activity of the heart. This can register cardiac arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation or a heartbeat that is too slow and provide indications of a heart attack.

Long-term ECG: The heart waves are recorded over 24 hours. The continuous recording can clarify the causes of heart stumbles, dizziness or fainting spells.

Vascular sonography can detect arterial circulatory disorders, dilatations of the abdominal aorta or thromboses of the veins.
In particular, arterial deposits or calcification of the vessels can be detected at an early stage and appropriate preventive measures can be initiated.

Under guidance, various breathing maneuvers are performed to measure lung function. The volume of lungs breathed and the speed of the airflow indicate whether bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is present. The lung function test is used in cases of shortness of breath, chronic cough or limited exercise capacity.

Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) is one of the most important routine cardiological examinations of the heart. It assesses the function and structure of the heart muscle and the heart valves.

It provides information about various heart diseases such as cardiac insufficiency or valvular diseases and shows whether there is already a change in the structure due to previous diseases such as high blood pressure or cardiac arrhythmias.

An abdominal ultrasound is used to evaluate all organs in the upper and lower abdomen. Similar to a cardiac ultrasound, a transducer placed on the abdominal skin emits ultrasound waves to image the various organs (liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidney and great vessels).

As part of the home visit, a blood draw can be taken for analysis of all laboratory parameters.

Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death in Germany and account for around 40% of all deaths. They are also associated with considerable individual consequences. The risk can be drastically reduced by taking preventive measures. These include lifestyle changes and strict control of your individual risk factors (e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes, high blood lipids). We will be happy to advise you in detail regarding our cardiovascular preventive medicine.

How can I make a treatment request?

You can use our contact form to submit a request for a check-up, treatment, second opinion or video consultation. In an initial 15-minute consultation, which is free of charge to you, a medical expert will discuss your concerns with you and get an idea of your current state of health. This enables us to estimate the duration of treatment and provide you with an individual cost estimate.

Which medical documents are required?

Based on the medical history interview, we specifically request your medical documents. Please do not send us your findings in advance.

Can family members be present during treatment?

If you wish, your family members can be present at your examination and, if necessary, also be examined. However, we ask for early registration so that this can be taken into account in terms of time and costs.

Can I continue to be cared for by the same doctor after treatment?

Continuous care by the same doctor is of course possible. When contacting us, please indicate which doctor you would like to be treated by.

Is treatment possible in my home country?

We would be happy to provide you with on-site care in your home country if required. Please contact us via our form to discuss your wishes.

How high are the treatment costs and how are they made up?

Following the medical history consultation, we will prepare an individual offer for you, which includes the estimated costs of the treatment and the estimated duration of treatment. These costs are to be paid before the start of the treatment. Following your treatment, we will issue you a final invoice, which will be offset against your prepaid service.

Is cost absorption accepted by my embassy/insurance company?

We accept cost absorption guarantees from the following embassies: Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. If your embassy covers the cost of your treatment, we do not require you to make an advance payment. However, please provide us with the written cost coverage guarantee from your embassy prior to your arrival.

Furthermore, we accept cost assurances from these international insurances: Allianz Worldwide Partners, AXA PPP International, Cigna Global Health Benefits. No advance payment is necessary on your part. Please send us the written confirmation of costs from the respective cost bearer before the start of your trip.

What payment options do I have?

You will receive an individual quote for the estimated cost of the treatment. We ask for advance payment of the costs to our account before arrival. As soon as the payment is received, we will contact you to arrange your desired treatment date.

We will be happy to assist you in completing the necessary entry formalities. Of course, you will receive a confirmation of your planned medical treatment to apply for a visa. If you need additional support in preparing your trip, please contact us.

We work very closely with experienced interpreters and translation services, which we are happy to arrange if necessary. Our partners offer their services in Arabic, Russian, Kazakh, Turkish and other languages.

Second medical opinion

Have you received a doctor’s recommendation for treatment but aren’t sure if it’s the best option for you?

A diagnosis often offers more than one treatment option. Often, however, none of the options is ideal; all the advantages and disadvantages must be weighed carefully and individually in each case. To better understand your own health situation, a second medical opinion is helpful.

We conduct an independent and neutral second opinion of your medical findings and clarify all your open questions and concerns. This provides you with security and orientation when deciding on a particular treatment.
